If typically step on panel center, detection no problem.

If typically step on panel edges (like pro players), minimal to no detection. Changing sensitivity requires significant modding via variations of DIY copper modding, the official sensitivity mod, and/or screw torquing. Modding procedures are well-documented and demo'd both in official and DIY channels. Pad modding accessibile via the four panel screws. Not going to fault manufacturer or vendor given everyone has their own step sensitivity preferences.

Executing brackets might be challenging given that the screws sit slightly above each panels at the corners (i.e. might end up stepping on the screw instead of the panel). Different than official pads where the screws are recessed beneath the panel.

Pad feels just like the arcade. Sensor trips feel effortless, the rigidity is perfect, the wheels make the pad easy to reposition in your play space, and the adjustable feet let you manually level the pad as you see fit. Arrow artwork is also great.

Love it! My wife is obsessed with it and even I get hooked on it sometimes. Seems to be very well made and the product arrived super fast! Very happy with our purchase.

My old pad from BlockHead wasn't working properly on PC. The DDRPad.com soft pad actually works. I was able to get the soft pad from DDRPad.com to work on my Macbook Pro and my home PC. Now I can practice DDR at home or if I'm on the road I can roll out the pad to play with friends! I personally use ITGMania which is a fork of StepMania.

Did my research and these are the closest to the red-octane pads out there. I have been playing on the pads about a month now so I wanted to write a review. The foam is high quality and they feel great to dance on (my knees and ankles thank me). I wear socks when I play and I have no trouble with slipping (some people complained about this on the red-octane pads as well, but I never had the issue then either). I'm tall so I also appreciate that the pads are full size (not smaller like the L-tech ones). Outside of setting the key binds in ITG Mania they were plug and play with no issues.

In summary, they are great and I will buy another set when/if these wear out. They seem very well made so I don't anticipate that happening anytime soon. For the price of exercise/entertainment equipment I think they are a great value for the product.

The replacement pad works great. I don't experience too much slipping and sliding, and the pad itself is very responsive to touch. No issues with connection on the USB and consistently works with no issue or troubleshooting. The foam is solid enough but soft to help soften any noise, and it was easy to assemble. Using it is very easy as well, didn't take very long to set up.

Would recommend for those looking for a middle ground between a soft pad and something like an LTEK!

I'm very happy with my L-TEK Core pad from DDRPad.com. Shipping was great because it came well-protected, with a USB cable packed separately. The panels even had a protective film so they could stay pretty during shipping. Worked right out of the box, plus it looks beautiful with its glossy finish on the panels and metal trim. I appreciate the reinforced corners so I'm able to move the pad around and store it upright safely.
Pad feels high-quality and solid at about 40 lbs. Heavy, but still manageable to move around. Nonslip base works well on solid floor and carpet. Built-in noise reduction makes it noticeably quieter than other pads I've tried.
Performance is excellent, the sensitivity is spot-on unmodded. No issues playing on my MacBook Air with OutFox. I play while wearing socks, but since the surface is smooth it can feel a bit slippery. Be careful!
Another bonus is the size, it's easy to slide under my bed for storage in a small apartment.
Overall, it's a sturdy, well-built pad that excels in quality and playability.

Pad works great! The rubber corners grip very well against my tile floor, keeping the pad steady. Pad feels very responsive so far. Only issue I ran into was visual defects on the panels, but customer service sent out a replacement set quickly. Overall a great experience!

Wanted to get back into DDR after sooo many years. This pad handles heavy mode like a champ. Bought the “penny mod” since I’d heard I’ll need it later for when the pad loses sensitivity, but haven’t needed to install it yet.

Installed on a EX PRO 2 model (A year or two years old, used seriously for a few months); the installation process itself is very simple and the pad works beautifully now.

I've been playing this every day. It's truly plug and play, though I did have to map the keys manually for player 2 (takes 5 minutes). Absolutely worth!

I'm using this with Stepmania, it works great. I can press all four arrows at the same time and the game will detect them as expected. Great buy.

I was putting off buying new panels for weeks. I'm so glad that I finally did because these new ones fit perfectly and are so shiny and beautiful! I stream ITG frequently, so my dance pad has gone through a lot of stomping. My viewers enjoyed watching me install the new panels and like the look of them too! Thank you, DDRPad!
