trust the hype!

I’ve almost bought an L-tek a bunch of times, but hesitated because of the price. Now that I’ve had one for a couple of weeks. I can confidently say it is worth the scratch; pay up and dance to your heart’s content.

Solid DDR Hard Pad for the home that's bang for the buck

Long time DDR enthusiast and player (since DDR 1st Mix 1998/1999). Have purchased and used many dance mats (a few soft ones and a number of hard pads and custom pads). This L-TEK Core pad is very responsive and definitely sensitive enough without having to do any mods (like the penny mod). I many play in socks, so its perfect for that. I would not recommend using shoes for this type of pad since it not designed for it compared to an arcade pad (or one that is designed similar to it). The only thing I would recommend with this pad is to get a rubber drawer liner (found at a dollar store) to place under to pad if your pad slides during your gameplay. The dance pad barely moves with the rubber feet it has, but on some occasions on carpet, it seems to move/shift slightly after Hard songs. And I wish these models can just include a simple LED for each panel to use as indicators when each panel is stepped on. I would mod in LED's just for that diagnostic purpose. I really don't care if its super bright, it just needs to be visible for testing, or for those that are new to playing. Definitely one of the best home dance pads (hard type) that I have ever used with a high quality build and well-priced for those that do not have a huge budget for the $1000+ arcade type pads. Bang for the buck for sure.

Great Quality Pad

Bought this for my son as an early Christmas present. He loves it! The build quality is very solid and amazingly thin! Works great. Thanks!

Ok at best for the price.

Played with it for a week and it works somewhat ok, but it feels like the sensors near the center of the pad aren't great.
Getting misses for no reason ruining combos at times.
If you're going to play the harder content out there, this won't get you the quad star you are aiming for.
Good for people who stomp like crazy on the easier side though.

Right up there with the best home metal pads

Solidly built, no issues after a few months of play. Definitely an adjustment period coming from a Cobalt Flux (little bit less travel time to activation, hollower/quieter sounding). Thank you for providing a sufficiently long USB cable.
