It might be my foot placement, but I think the raised center area of this mod is working against me. Also, I ended up sanding the entire top-side surface area and beveling the edges.
Only have had the pad for a few weeks but it has been excellent so far. Very responsive, no sliding on carpet, and the start/back buttons are easy to use. The only con is that the pads get scuffed pretty easily, but that's to be expected.
Used it to replace some dead sensors on a PIU cab. Worked perfectly as far as I can tell.
Recently got this pad, and it's basically the ferrari / lambo of ddrpads. If you loved playing DDr as a kid / teen and you're an adult now with the money to blow. stop wasting time and get this asap. This + stepmania = Godlike. plus you can't be fat and do this. so win win
Works flawlessly, easy to assemble, and comfortable on a concrete floor.
It is a little easy to lose where the center is and get slightly off on orientation, so we'll be experimenting with velcro or tape around the center square, and looking for some way to lock the pads in place.
Sturdy, responsive and the top layer doesn't bunch up or become detached. However, it should have easier ways to change modes and also require additional accessories to play on play station 2. It needed to be connected to an actual play station controller as well because it can only function as the 4 arrow keys, the mode that uses all of the buttons could not work on PS2. Its much easier on PC with either emulator or stepmania, but you must troubleshoot the audio delays, bluetooth in particular is often the culprit, and if you are not getting audio directly from TV/Monitor, you might need to go with wired headsets, because modern low latency usb wireless headset that can be used while exercising is rare.
I was a little skeptical about ordering one of these. But I decided it was only $40 so if it didn’t work out I’d be ok. I got everything set up and I’m impressed! Things work pretty well and I’ve been able to find all the songs from the version of DDR that I loved to play growing up. I’m glad I opted for this pad as well since I can fold it up and put it a way really easily. I recommend this for anyone who wants to get back into DDR!
I've been using this hard pad daily since it arrived over a week ago and I'm really glad to have decided to upgrade. Previously, I had been using the L-Tek soft pad and was able to clear a few lvl 14 charts but now, I've been able to clear lvl 15s and working towards clearing my first lvl 16! Very sturdy and reliable product that I can see myself using for years. Just keep in mind that it is quite bulky and heavy so finding a place to store it may be an issue.

Flash drive makes setup so easy. This version of the pad works pretty well but sometimes needs a rubber mat or velcro underneath it to keep it staying on the floor. If price is not a huge issue, I would recommend upgrading to the next level of pad.
Love it! Was not cheap to get it to Norway but it is worth it. Plug and play to my Mac mini and it works like a charm. I just hope it’s gonna survive my two kids aged 5 and 1 😅
It's ok. We prefer our older D-force mat, but this one is good enough as a second mat,
I've had it for about a month now and I love it! The only minor issues I've had: It does forget key bindings (but that might be stepmania or my PC) and the USB is very difficult to remove, I feel like I might damage it when I try to pull it out. Other than that its been great! It feels very sturdy and durable.
excellent game pad! no issues! I've wanted one of these since I was a kid, now I'm an adult with a little bit of cash to get back into her old passion lol
My only complaint is that the bottom ain't got no grip! I wish it had a rubber bottom but that's OK, I'll probably glue some rubber grips of some kind to the bottom so it stays in place.
I've been waiting for a long time for the arcade mod to come back! Playing in shoes on a CF pad has always been somewhat of a pain on higher difficulties as it's easy to lose your place due to the panels being flush with each other. The Arcade Mod raises the corner and center panels so it feels more like an arcade pad with recessed arrows. I ordered this and got it installed in about 10 minutes after it arrived. Now I can feel the arrows much more easily in shoes and I don't lose my place anymore!

Got my L-TEK Prime a couple weeks ago and have been absolutely loving it. Super impressed with the build quality, and after having been away from DDR/SM for like 20 years it's been awesome to get back to it. This is the perfect hard dance pad short of an arcade level stage. I've always wanted a high-quality hard pad and finally could afford it. This is it!
Great dance pad. Needed to replace some older pads that I wore out, and also required special drivers for. This one works hassle free.
As a truck driver this game helps me stay in shape. I originally had the soft mat with the inserts to fit it into most spaces but trying to accomplish streaks on anything over basic 8 was impossible. This upgrade was well worth it. Made sure it would fit in my space and I feel like im playing at the arcade after 30 seconds into the first song. No repositioning, sliding, or even stuck sensors making me miss the double/triple taps. I highly recommend for players aiming for scores or streaks.
These are really good dance pads! I was looking for a middle of the road option between the crappy thin floor pads vs. something made of metal with insane shipping fees. These are defintely the ones! It comes in a box with the foam which you just piece together into the shape and zip into the plastic cover. I spent the small amount of extra money for the flashdrive to make the game plug and play which I'm sure saved me a few hours of research. I was able to start playing about an hour after I assembled my dance pad and compiled all the songs!
They're pretty responsive without adjustments, and while they drift a little as you use them, they don't slide around as much as I expected them to.
I bought 2 pads, and had a DDR party last weekend. Several people were asking me where I got them :)
Really happy with these. The female connectors are much more robust than solder tabs.
My biggest regret was waiting too long before opening the box : it is a ton of fun !
The setup was easy : straight forward and plug-and-play [Using a M1 mac I needed a USB-C adapter, which I already had]).
After a few weeks and much playing I noticed a weird and very specific behaviour with one of the key/binding of the pad. I debugged a bit and am grateful for the support : they helped resolve, despite being much time after my purchase.

You need a usb-hub (*for Steam Deck) and some button mapping for the "controller" that it picks up, but works well for Project Outfox and PCSX2 (if you want to play DDRMAX2). Only annoying thing was how Steam picks up the device, so when you test it in gaming mode some buttons aren't mapped (though desktop mode will show what is working regardless of what is or isn't mapped). Thankfully all the sensors were good, the hard foam doesn't feel like it's holding me back or sinking, and no defects or damage.
Super happy with the product, but for anyone that gets this be patient when zippering the mat since it is meant to be tight with the foam.
Great piece of tech. Have it installed in our basement and it's a pleasure to use whenever we want.
This foam dance game mat works perfectly! All the buttons are responsive. The start and select buttons seem to be mixed up, but easily workable. I will say, though - my attempts to get the sleeve zipped up may have been a bit overzealous, because I tore the bottom, thinner part of the mat. Nothing a little duct tape couldn’t fix, and it hasn’t impacted the feel of it as I’ve used it (cumulatively around 2 hours).
