These are really good dance pads! I was looking for a middle of the road option between the crappy thin floor pads vs. something made of metal with insane shipping fees. These are defintely the ones! It comes in a box with the foam which you just piece together into the shape and zip into the plastic cover. I spent the small amount of extra money for the flashdrive to make the game plug and play which I'm sure saved me a few hours of research. I was able to start playing about an hour after I assembled my dance pad and compiled all the songs!
They're pretty responsive without adjustments, and while they drift a little as you use them, they don't slide around as much as I expected them to.
I bought 2 pads, and had a DDR party last weekend. Several people were asking me where I got them :)
Really happy with these. The female connectors are much more robust than solder tabs.
My biggest regret was waiting too long before opening the box : it is a ton of fun !
The setup was easy : straight forward and plug-and-play [Using a M1 mac I needed a USB-C adapter, which I already had]).
After a few weeks and much playing I noticed a weird and very specific behaviour with one of the key/binding of the pad. I debugged a bit and am grateful for the support : they helped resolve, despite being much time after my purchase.
Thank you !
You need a usb-hub (*for Steam Deck) and some button mapping for the "controller" that it picks up, but works well for Project Outfox and PCSX2 (if you want to play DDRMAX2). Only annoying thing was how Steam picks up the device, so when you test it in gaming mode some buttons aren't mapped (though desktop mode will show what is working regardless of what is or isn't mapped). Thankfully all the sensors were good, the hard foam doesn't feel like it's holding me back or sinking, and no defects or damage.
Super happy with the product, but for anyone that gets this be patient when zippering the mat since it is meant to be tight with the foam.
Great piece of tech. Have it installed in our basement and it's a pleasure to use whenever we want.
This foam dance game mat works perfectly! All the buttons are responsive. The start and select buttons seem to be mixed up, but easily workable. I will say, though - my attempts to get the sleeve zipped up may have been a bit overzealous, because I tore the bottom, thinner part of the mat. Nothing a little duct tape couldn’t fix, and it hasn’t impacted the feel of it as I’ve used it (cumulatively around 2 hours).
Works as described. Provides a definite upgrade to the standard Konami pack in mat.
An absolute must have for any l-tek pad user who wants to perform brackets.
I wasnt expecting much when I ordered it, but when using it, it was surprisingly more responsive and comfortable than expected. Idk how to change the color yet, but that might just be a skill issue.
I wish I would have purchased this dance pad sooner! I’ve had my eye on it for a few years & kept going through soft mats for periodic DDR use. This dance pad has completely transformed the experience & made my workout routine a lot more fun. Highly recommend this dance pad! Shipping was extremely fast & setup was so easy!
The DDR DVD drive works great, thanks for the fast and friendly service.
Absolutely awful experience. I bought this product a year ago when it appears to be a different mini computer (MBAX B1Pro)_ and it has been nothing short of a disaster that I've completely given up on. Could not handle step mania despite playing with every setting imaginable, the lag was atrocious on screen and with input.
I'm really sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience with the computer! We have since upgraded the computers we use because we were not happy with the quality of the BMax computers. If your computer was lagging badly, it sounds like you may have received a defective unit. I have reached out via email to assist you with a return.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is ever anything we can help with.
Best regards,
Josh
Works fine for about 15 minutes and then it decides to randomly miss inputs, or it starts pressing arrows when it's not supposed to. Otherwise, it is a Decent quality mat and it feels pretty alright when it wants to work. Unfortunately, it does not like to be played for long sessions.
kinda sensitive but tbf i have the feet of a yeti
its very good
Everything about this shipment and product was fantastic. It came quickly, set up was so incredibly idiot proof, down to how the foam pads were stacked in order of how you would place them one by one. The instructions were super streamlined and specific. I was nervous I wouldn't be able to figure it out or that it would be a huge process but it really wasn't! I hooked it up to my TV with an HDMI and there is zero lag. I was a star at this game as a teenager. Now I'm almost 40 and am so excited to get back to it with my teenaged daughter!
It works wonderfully!
It works well with anything related to a PS1/PS2 dance mat.. it even works with a Beatmania controller!
I would buy again if I had to.
This was our first time trying a foam insert mat after more than 20 years of just regular plastic mats that needed replacing all the time. I really had no idea what a difference it would make! It moves significantly less, helps cushion the joints more (getting old sucks), and we have been getting consistently better scores on songs than we did on plastic mats.
It was easy to put the foam panels together, and getting it inside the mat/zippering up just took a little patience but after that it was good to go.
I got the one with the adaptor to be able to it to plug into ps2 and it worked perfectly. What I didn’t realize but was pleasantly surprised by was that it also had additional adaptors for other game systems that I thought I would need to purchase separately! I did have to reach out for help on a few things like getting it to work with OG Xbox but the solution was as simple as booting up the game before plugging the mat in.
Highly recommend for anyone who is on the fence or just wants a step up from the plastic mats, it feels like it will last and likely pays for itself honestly with how easy it is to burn through the plastic mats. (Our Cat also loves to lay on it, so he approves as well)
I thought LTek was sensitive enough but these helped tremendously especially for hitting the corner of the panels. Would recommend getting only the partial and putting them on the inside edge of each panel. The rest don’t seem necessary.
worked perfectly right out of the box. Thanks!
It’s comfortable but feel like buttons are always pressed properly. Also having trouble pressing Start
Works perfectly and now I can play stepmania on my PC with my cobalt flux game pad!
Getting back into DDR after ~25 years and took the plunge on this hard pad. Everything is great so far, received the item within 4 business days. I don't play anything past 10ish difficulty so sensitivity is fine as is. The pad is pretty heavy at around 40 pounds but doesn't move or slide. I put a workout mat under it to dampen the sound. The pad shows up as a USB joystick in Project Outfox so all that's needed is to map each of the four directions. The USB port on the pad is very well protected and the included 6' cable is long enough for my setup though they do sell a longer one. Overall a good hard pad if you have the available funds.
Works exactly like my old one that has long since dissolved. I’m glad I got the foam insert as well, it feels a little heartier while staying affordable. Had one minor issue which was that I broke the zipper trying to zip the pad around the foam insert. Luckily needle nose pliers came to the rescue and I opened the zipper pull up and then clamped it back down on the zipper track, but it would have been nice if it was a little more fortified
