What is Force Sensitive Resistor (FSR)?
FSR is a special type of sensor which exhibits a decrease in resistance with an increase in the force applied to the active sensing surface. The force sensing resistor is a polymer sheet, with both electrically conducting and non-conducting particles present on this sensing film. If force is applied to a surface of the sensing film, the particles touch the conducting electrodes and causes the resistance of the film to change. This change in resistance can be measured, and used to sense a step on a dance pad.
The FSR 408 is a single-zone Force Sensing Resistor® optimized to use human touch to control devices for use in automotive electronics, medical systems, and industrial and robotics applications, among many others. FSRs are two-wire, robust polymer thick film (PTF) sensors that exhibit a decrease in resistance with increase in force applied to the surface of the sensor.
The FSR Sensor is a mod and it will take some time to install and set up with your pad. This is not a "plug and play" sensor.

picked a few of these up for a personal project that is not quite ddr. i've been working on my own game for a minute where you have 2 stomp buttons and 2 punchable buttons. i have been using FSRs before and needed to replace them, and these ones with the female housing are honestly so nice. Solder tabs on these things can be kind of a pain and getting the housing on myself also sucks so very happy with the quality and price of these, came super fast and love the stickers thrown in. been telling a lot of indie game devs working on hardware to grab these ones, i'll absolutely be getting more
