Introducing our all new deluxe hard foam dance pad!

The Deluxe edition features an improved 1" foam insert which is thicker, harder, and more durable. It has a plug and play USB connection to any computer and is ideal for playing StepMania and other PC based dance games.

Details:

  • Improved 1" high density EVA foam
  • USB compatible with StepMania, Project Outfox, and other computer dance games
  • 9 active panels
  • Size: 35 ½" x 31" x 1"

This is an upgraded version of our StepMania - USB Thick Foam Soft Pad. It has an improved high density 1" foam insert. The insert is thicker and made with more durable and harder EVA foam. This helps to give the pad more stability and prevent it from wrinkling and moving around during play.

All 9 panels on this pad are active, including the center button. This allows you to use it for all dance games including StepMania, Dance Dance Revolution (DDR), and Pump It Up (PIU). The sensors are located under the arrows and do not fully cover the entire panel graphics.

Compatibility with PC and Mac using programs like StepMania, Project Outfox, Dance Dance Revolution PC, In The Groove, Dance Party and more. Visit our StepMania info page to download StepMania and get a free song pack that includes every single Dance Dance Revolution Song.

~If for any reason you are not happy with the pad you can get a full refund within 30 days~

Solid pad

The rigid foam fits snugly into the pad with a little bit of effort zipping it shut and it did not seem to slip around on me when I tried out a couple songs earlier with it sitting on the rug in my living room. The buttons also seem responsive from the limited testing I did while setting up Project Outfox. I'm extremely a beginner here but I think this will be fun to learn on, glad I sprung for the deluxe version. The foam comes as a like, jigsaw of six pieces that fit snugly together so if I wanted to pack this up and take it somewhere I definitely could.

Shipping was incredibly fast I ordered it yesterday and it showed up by noon today. Site support was very helpful and responsive when I asked about the differences between the three home pads they offer here.

The only thing I'd change is to mess with the design of the cable to make it detachable from the front of the pad, either with a short connecting cable that can come apart from the rest of the USB cable (I recall old xbox 360 controllers that had something like this) or like by just plugging one end of the cable into the front or something. My main worry is someone (me, lets be real) tripping on the cable and either damaging the front of the pad or yanking my Steam deck off the TV stand. But that's a minor critique and just a thought I had if this ever gets redesigned a bit. Looking at this I bet if I ever did damage the cable it wouldn't be terribly difficult to replace.

I am also incredibly bad at DDR though holy moley I never played when I was younger and just trying to do a couple of songs in my late 30s here was pretty humbling.

Accurate, affordable, durable

Probably the best affordable dance pad I've bought so far. It's accurate and durable. It shifts slightly but that's easily fixed with a gripper sheet that sticks rugs to carpet (not rugs to hardwood, those are different). I use this to play rhythm games almost every day now. The connection to my PC was straightforward, no software necessary

More stability, less noise

I replaced the basic soft pad with this one, and it doesn't move around nearly as much as the basic one. It also dampens the sound of my stomping so it's less of a nuisance to my family.
