Adding Songs to StepMania

Once you have installed StepMania and downloaded songs from our StepMania Guide the songs can be added to the program by following the instructions below. When installing StepMania, pay attention to where you save the folder that is created on your computer. You will need to access that folder when adding songs. 

Step 1: After downloading the songs the first step is to unzip the audio and step chart files.

Step 2: Next access the "StepMania" folder on your hard drive. Inside the "StepMania" folder you will find a folder named "Songs". If you did not specify a location during installation to save the folder to then the default location is:  This PC > OS(C:) > Games > StepMania 5.

Step 3: If you are adding songs individually then create a new folder inside the "Songs" folder and put the songs you wish to add inside the new folder. If your songs are already in a folder (i.e.: DDR 1st Mix) then add this folder directly to the "Songs" folder. 

Now you're done. The next time you open the StepMania program the songs will be automatically loaded.
