All the bits work as described.

Great mat, been fun to play with. Thankful to find this sold by a mom-and-pop type shop. The Polish branding on the box was a fantastic surprise.

I wish the mat had a sewn-in rope around the center square so I didn't get lost in the sauce on those harder songs, maybe with a time machine I can convince the factory to make that change.

Works right out of the box

The pad worked as soon as I plugged it in, just had to map it to Stepmania. It would benefit to some pads to stay in one spot but that isn't too much to DIY.

Could be better

They work perfectly but slide a lot and sag. You get what you pay for. Maybe using a heavier material for the arrows and a rubbery material for the bottom would fix the issues.

As fun as ever!

Ordered the soft pads (2) and will be putting foam underneath by myself.. based off using these soft ones, I would probably say if you want to spend the extra money and have more durable pads than buy the foam ones out of the gate but these have been good so far! Nostalgia alone after seeing them was crazy! My kids 5 & 7 instantly loved playing the game and it's really like old times, still bringing people together and once you get used to them, it's like riding a bike. They really do feel familiar and exactly what I was looking for - it could only be better if we had the space for the arcade style dance pad with all the lights. For beginner, definitely can recommend the soft pads. For more intermediate, I think going with foam pads would be the best move at the mimimum, especially if you're really competitive.

What I expected.

It is a pretty good beginners pad. Sure it moves alot but it's really good.
