Been wanting to back into DDR after 20 years and needed to start fresh. Glad I ended up here with the pad as it was easy to assemble and so far is working out wonderfully. Shipping was also super quick and packaging was very secure. Would definitely recommend to a friend and buy again based on my first few days. I’m feeling confident it’ll hold up for the long haul.
it feels just as good as the arcade pads! the minor difference is how the arrows have a bit of a deeper step than the arcade but it’s seriously no issue. it’s helped me develop my technique and works straight out the box. all you need to do is plug it in and calibrate your buttons and you’re set. it runs surprisingly well on dolphin emulator but if you want to play any ddr songs or anything in general, just try step mania or itg. the customization option sold me even more and will be something i’d like to use in the future!
Bought two of these for my wife for Christmas to play Stepmania. Opened them on Christmas Eve, and my wife couldn’t stop playing. The construction is A+ and the packaging for shipping is top notch. My wife said it’s one of, if not the, best gift she’s received in the 15 years of Christmas we’ve celebrated together. She also crushed my score. Josh from DDRPad is extremely helpful.
This thing works like a dream. It's perfectly sensitive and hits on time. The 1" foam makes a WORLD of difference. I was originally looking to get the metal pad but honestly, my body is grateful for the extra bit of cushion. Was worried there might be some slippage and falling but the grip is overall just fine! I could use a bit more grip but nothing that feels like I'm about to fall off haha.
I've been playing DDR for a long time at the arcade and on the PlayStation 2 and I'm trilled to be playing DDR on PC with the Deluxe USB Thick Hard Foam Pad. This dance pad is a great replacement for my old Red Octane thick dance pad for PlayStation. I'm happy to be able to play DDR like I used to. Too bad my body gets tired a lot faster nowadays. Probably the best affordable dance pad I've bought so far. It's accurate and durable. It shifts slightly but that's easily fixed with a gripper sheet that sticks rugs to carpet (not rugs to hardwood, those are different). I use this to play rhythm games almost every day now. The connection to my PC was straightforward, no software necessary
